Attorney Kenneth ‘KC’ Swanson is a partner with the firm who has practiced real estate law for the past eleven years and successfully closed on thousands of properties. He has also effectively negotiated hundreds of short sale approvals on properties that could not qualify to be sold as traditional real estate transactions. Most importantly, KC has had the opportunity to combine his consumer bankruptcy and debt settlement experience with his knowledge of real estate law. His wide range of legal expertise has made him very skilled at dealing with almost any real estate transaction regardless of the financial or title related concerns. KC attended Chicago’s John Marshall Law School, graduating in the top 15% of his class, and has lived and worked in the city of Chicago for more than a decade. Attorney Mehul Desai is a partner with the firm who works on a broad range of consumer insolvency issues. Mehul began his career at a high volume bankruptcy practice in the Chicagoland area, was involved in matters before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and now regularly appears before judges in the Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division Bankruptcy Court. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing from DePaul University in Chicago, Mehul went on to attend the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Mehul is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Associate Attorney Joseph Lentner
Attorney Joseph ‘Joe’ Lentner is a lawyer with the firm whose primary focus is bankruptcy law and estate planning. Joe earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Coe College in his hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Afterward, Joe received his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law in Dayton, Ohio, which in recent years has gained recognition for having one of the most outstanding legal writing and research programs nationwide. Having worked for a high volume Chicago law firm, Joe has great knowledge of both bankruptcy and estate planning, including the development of wills and trusts. Joe is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.

Attorney Nicholas ‘Nic’ Perino is a lawyer with the firm who deals with both bankruptcy and business services. Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, Nic received his undergraduate and legal education in his home state; he graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Pennsylvania State University, and earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law. With experience at small and medium sized firms, Nic’s primary areas of practice are bankruptcy (business and personal) and other business services, including tax matters with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Illinois Department of Revenue. Nic is admitted to practice law in the states of Pennsylvania and Illinois.
Associate Attorney Michael J. Bratta
Attorney Michael J. Bratta is an associate with the firm whose primary focus is bankruptcy law. Michael has both civil and criminal law experience where he has helped clients execute wills, settle landlord-tenant disputes and negotiate plea agreements for various misdemeanor and felony crimes. He believes effective communication with his clients is essential to a successful outcome no matter the circumstance. After growing up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, he attended Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois receiving his Bachelor of Arts in History while also playing football. After graduating from Lake Forest College, Michael attended Valparaiso University Law School in Valparaiso, Indiana where he worked for the Valparaiso University Civil Clinic. It was here that he found his passion for helping clients with financial hardships. Michael is admitted to the Illinois State Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
